40Mn can be used under the condition normalizing, also can be used under Hardening and tempering. 40Mn has good machinability and 40Mn's cold plastic deformation is medium but Poor weldability under cold deformation. 40Mn is used in the manufacture of parts under fatigue load, such as shaft roller and work under the high stress of screw, nut, etc. 40Mn's hardenability is a little higher than 40# steel. 40Mn is also suitable for resistance to fatigue,the crankshaft, roll, axis, connecting rod.
