JIS SUS309S stainless steel is the low-carbon version of 309 steel, is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel which is used for its excellent oxidation resistance, high temperature strength and creep resistance. Because of the high temperature oxidation resistance, JIS SUS309S stainless steel is common for 309, 310 and 321 to be used in the same piece of equipment in the various temperature regions.
